Daniel Radcliffe's Stunt Double Injured on Potter Set

A stunt double for Daniel Radcliffe was hospitalized Wednesday after falling during a flying sequence on the set of the latest Harry Potter film in England, PEOPLE confirms.

"The person has been taken to [a] hospital and we are awaiting further news," the film's studio, Warner Bros., says in a statement to PEOPLE. "Out of respect for his family, we are unable to comment further at this stage, but can confirm that it was not a member of the cast."

A spokesperson for East of England Ambulance Service told E! Online that "paramedics were called to Leavesden Studios [Wednesday] at 11:35 a.m. after a man sustained a significant back injury" and was "stabilized at the scene and taken to Watford General Hospital."

The 25-year-old stuntman was conscious after the fall, which occurred after a planned explosion went off during rehearsal of an aerial stunt for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, according to London's Mirror and the Sun. Both papers quoted sources as saying the man complained he "couldn't feel anything from the waist down."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the final installment of the film's franchise and will be made into two movies. The first part will be released in late 2010.

Harry Potter can sure deliver a crowd. The theater community packed into Broadway's Broadhurst on Thursday night to watch Daniel Radcliffe's gala opening night in Equus.

Glenn Close, Lili Taylor and The Sixth Sense's Haley Joel Osment were among the those in the crowd for the much-anticipated revival of Peter Shaffer's drama about a young man with a pathological fascination with horses.

Osment, who himself is starring in upcoming Broadway revival – of David Mamet's 1976 American Buffalo – told PEOPLE, "I'm happy to be here supporting another great work of theater. It's a great season for Broadway."

Overall, Radcliffe enchanted the critics, who seemed less impressed by how the 1973 play has aged.

Daniel Radcliffe Joins A Chorus Line

Miami Vice was a popular television show from 1984 to 1990. It was remade as an unsuccessful theatrical movie in 2006. Hollywood has decided to recast the series and make it as a television movie. If it is successful, it will also be a possible pilot for a new series.
In the newest version, also to be set in the 1980's, the lead character will be played by teenager Daniel Radcliffe (star of the Harry Potter films). Instead of living on a boat with a pet crocodile named Elvis, however, he will live in a penthouse apartment with three ferrets (named Sophie, Rosie, and Spaz) that provide comic relief.
His partner in this will not be a black cop/detective. She will, instead, be a 400 pound bearded woman known only as J.B. (to be played by the cross dresser Divine.)
The new show will not take place in Miami, but instead will film at a nude beach in France. Miami will be the name of the nightclub/strip club where the two stars hang out after work.
Instead of being officers in a Vice Squad looking for sex offenders, drug dealers, etc., they will be Vice Principals at an all girls school for wayward teens (aged 18 and 19).

But who was she? The 18-year-old boy-wizard star walked around groups of party-goers afterwards but failed to find her.

Now the blue-eyed blonde who is convinced she is the girl who stole Radcliffe's heart has come forward, admitting that throughout the awards evening she and Radcliffe were "sort of smiling and making eye contact".

What's more, she is now preparing to fly to London next week.

But 20-year-old insurance worker Cassie McKay has some bad news for the Harry Potter star.

She has a boyfriend, to whom she remains committed.

And her journey across the world is for a four-month holiday she planned months ago.

"I'm not looking to cash in on his public profile," said Cassie.

"I hope people don't think I want my 15 minutes of fame or anything."

Despite the convincing evidence that Cassie was the girl who had bowled the wizard over, several others have come forward to say they were the one.

One young woman, identifying herself as Kirstie, said that she and Radcliffe had shared a 'special connection.' Another wrote: "I just want Daniel to know his feelings are reciprocated."

The romantic world of Harry Potter wizardry became more complicated when dark-haired Melbourne saxophonist Savannah Blount, 23 - the woman photographed on Radcliffe's OTHER arm during a fleeting embrace with Cassi backstage - said she was the girl who really caught Radcliffe's fancy at last year's Australian film industry's glittering night.

What's more, she would by happy to date Daniel, unlike blonde trumpet player Cassi, who already has a steady boyfriend.

Ms Blount said she was charmed by the teen wizard and would be happy to go on a date with him if the chance arose during one of her regular UK tours.

"He was quite lovely. He was very charming, very polite," she said in Melbourne. "Maybe if I was working over there or touring, you never know." Though not a Harry Potter fan, Blount is attracted to the wealthy, good-looking young actor.

"Handsome? Yes, yes - and very short. I'm more for the taller type of guy."
